The Saharan languages are a subgroup of Nilo-Saharan languages spoken across parts of the eastern Sahara, extending from northwestern Darfur to southern Libya, north and central Chad, eastern Niger and northeastern Nigeria. Noted Saharan languages include Kanuri, Teda, Dazaga, and Zaghawa.
