Talk:Sagacity Alternative Lifestyle Society
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This appears to be purely a spamesque promtional article that has so far been formed largely out of material that contradicts the corresponding information on the host website. --No mattrer what you call it. macaroni is still pasta 04:17, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
I dont see your point regarding spam. Most of the information on sagacity here is hard data and reads like your typical encyclopedic entry.
As for the data itself, the webpage that people seem to be refering to with the 500 some odd members is simply out of date. Data entered with 4 current members, and 875 associates is accurate as of July 2006, and is confirmed by the president of Sagacity itself IN PERSON!! Please do not change it again without confirming with Ladyfish herself.
It's VERY IMPORTANT before editing that data to understand how sagacity differentiates members from associates. The 4 current members have given their personal information to satisfy the legal requirements of a non-profit organisation.
This allows the 875+ associates to participate in sagacity events without compromising their personal identiy and privacy in a world that unfortunately still discriminates based upon peoples sexual activities. This means that sagacity has a HUGE following and ONLY saying we have 4 members is clearly slanderous misrepresentation.
Given that, it is indeed vancouver islands largest pansexual kink organisation. - Samvega, Core of Directors Sagacity —Preceding unsigned comment added by Samvega (talk • contribs)
- If the information cannot be sourced from the website, then where is it being sourced from? See Wikipedia:Verifiability. Can this article be backed up with reliable sources? Mdwh 10:49, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for pointing out the verifiability page, it cleared up a few questions of my own. I understand the 3rd party thing now. - Samvega
It seems that sagacity is a word, as used here : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ahithophel Could there be like disambiguation link here ?
T.
I also found this to be the link from numerous internal links from the word "sagacity". Maybe a title of S.A.L.S. (Sagacity Alternative Lifestyle Society) would be appropriate, if not a disambiguation page. Thoughts?

A listing of non-BDSM pages that link to this:
- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_medical_topics:_S-Sc
- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_scientific_method#Integrating_deductive_and_inductive_method
In fact, other than User Pages, the BDSM main page is the only page that links to this page's descripition of sagacity.
I'm working on a short page for sagacity that I will table for discussion before I upload...

For sure the word also refers to the quality of sagaciousness, sounds like a good plan to do that split thingy. -Samvega
