Sagiada

Sagiada (Greek: ) is a municipality in Thesprotia, Greece. Its 2001 population was 897 for the village and 2,160 for the municipality. The seat of the municipality is in Asprokklisi. Sagiada is connected with the GR-19 that connects Preveza by the way of Paramythia, Filiates and Konispol, Albania. Albania is 5 km to the north. Sagiada is situated by the bay of the Ionian Sea and offers a beautiful panoramic scenery of the island of Corfu and the mountains to the northwest.

Sagiada is located west of Ioannina, northwest of Filiates and the Greek capital city of Athens, north of Igoumenitsa and south of the Albanian city of Konispol.

Its geography consists of almost entirely mountainous with several valleys The forest are in the central part, the grasslands are also dominant and grasslands to the north and the northwest corner. Sagiada is the westernmost municipality ans features the westernmost point on the Greek mainland since the 1920s.

Sagiada has a few schools, a few lyceums (middle school) a gymnasium (secondary school), churches, banks, shops and a square (plateia). Its nearest university is east in Ioannina, the University of Ioannina.
