Sage Steele

Sage Steele (born 1973) is a SportsCenter update anchor for two morning shows, Mike and Mike in the Morning and ESPN First Take (both on ESPN2). She provides the news and score updates during both of those respective programs. Steele also acts as a fill-in co-host for ESPN First Take.

Prior to joining ESPN on March 14, 2007 (when she appeared on the 6pm ET edition of SportsCenter), Steele worked at ABC affiliate WFTS in Tampa, Florida from 1998 to 2001, where she was a sports reporter with former WFTS sports director and current ESPN First Take host Jay Crawford. She also worked at Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic in Bethesda, Maryland, where she was an anchor and reporter for the network's nightly local sports news program, SportsNite. Also, she was one of CSN Mid-Atlantic's original personalities, joining that network when it was launched in 2001. During her six years at CSN Mid-Atlantic (2001-2007), she was also a beat reporter for the network, covering the Baltimore Ravens. After graduating from Indiana University in 1995, her first television sports reporting job was at Indianapolis CBS affiliate WISH-TV, as a weekend sports anchor, from 1997 to 1998.
