Sage Canyon Elementary School, established in 2000, is an K-6 elementary school located in the Carmel Valley neighborhood of San Diego, California. It is part of the Del Mar Union School District. It is situated adjacent to Sage Canyon Park, a neighborhood park maintained by the San Diego City Parks and Recreation Department.
In 2007, the school enrolled 769 students. It's Academic Performance Index score of 965 ranks first of all elementary schools in San Diego County[1].
Graduates from Sage Canyon typically attend Carmel Valley Middle School and onto the high schools of the San Dieguito Union High School District. School colors are blue and gray, and the school mascot is the coyote.
As of 2007, the school principal is Dr. Peg LaRose.
