The airline was established in 2004 and started operations in June 2004. It is owned 100% by Abdulkadir Kolot, Chairman of the airline, and family.

The Saga Airlines fleet consists of the following aircraft (as of May 2007) [1] :

The two Boeing 737-400 aircraft are operated for Pegasus and Sky Airlines respectively [2].

One A310 is operated for Air Algerie [3].
