Safety Patrol is a TV movie released by Disney in 1998 and told of the exploits of Scout Bozell, a middle school student aspiring to become a member of the school's safety patrol (uniformed hall monitors). The film, originally, aired on ABC and was aired, repeatedly, on the Disney Channel in 1999. It was released to VHS.

Scout (Bug Hall) admires the safety patrol, dreaming of becoming a member, however, his clumsy, bumbling, hazardous nature prevents him from doing so. He is shunned by the safety patrol, but due to a bizarre accident he became the next safety patrol member. Before he begins his first day on the safety patrol, his principal gets the school boundaries changed and he begins attending a new junior high. Again he attempts to join the school's safety patrol. Unbeknownest to him, the members of the safety patrol have actually formed a criminal gang conspiring with two members of the school's staff: Mrs. Day (Lainie Kazan) and Bert Miller (Curtis Armstrong). This gang is looking for a scapegoat to put blame on in the event they are eventually caught, so they employ Scout as a member of the patrol.
Via some wild, outlandish antics, Scout and his friends manage to catch the rest of the safety patrol in the act, replace the patrol with new members, and restore the respect and prestige the safety patrol once enjoyed.
