Safety Beach is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Its Local Government Area is the Shire of Mornington Peninsula.
Safety Beach occupies slightly less than half the area of land between the foothills of Mount Martha and Arthur's Seat and borders Port Philip Bay to its west.
There is currently a large in-land harbour and residential development underway in Safety Beach under the name of Martha Cove, named after its location in the cove at the foothills of Mount Martha. The project was largely protested by residents, however, it began in 2004, and has progressed successfully, already changing the face of the area.
