Safari Books Online LLC is an electronic reference provider founded in July 2001 and headquartered in Sebastopol, CA with offices in Boston, MA and San Francisco, CA. Safari is a joint venture between O'Reilly Media and the Pearson Technology Group, a division of Pearson PLC.
Safari's main product is a web-based electronic reference library. It includes books, videos, short form content Short Cuts, and evolving manuscripts Rough Cuts from publishers such as O'Reilly Media, Addison-Wesley, Prentice Hall, Peachpit, John Wiley & Sons, Microsoft Press, Adobe Press, Cisco Press, and other technology publishers. Safari Books Online is the only e-reference and e-learning content provider that contains content from all of the top four technology publishers - Pearson, Wiley, O'Reilly Media and Microsoft Press - and is the exclusive provider of content from O'Reilly and Pearson.
