The Thomas Saf-T-Liner HDX is a commercial school bus that began production in 2004 by the Thomas bus company. It has been purchased and is in operation for a number of school districts including Montgomery County Public Schools, Laidlaw Transport Inc. and the Fullerton High School District.

The Thomas Saf-T-Liner HDX has advanced safety features, hence the name Saf-T-Liner. Among them are an oversized windshield for enhanced visibility and multiple emergency exits. Aboard, the Saf-T-Liner HDX offers air conditioning, a Pioneer stereo, large seats, an easy to read dashboard and cabin heat. The buses can be as short as 25 feet and hold 30 passengers, or as long as 40 feet and hold 84 passengers. The HDX also offers various engines such as the Cummins ISC, Cummins ISB, Cummins ISL-G (CNG engine) available after 2008, and the Mercedes 926.
