[edit] January 2008

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I've noticed that you've been adding your signature to some of your article contributions, such as you did to Sound Factory The Band. This is a simple mistake to make and is easy to correct. For future reference, the need to associate edits with users is taken care of by an article's edit history. Therefore, you should use your signature only when contributing to talk pages, the Village Pump, or other such discussion pages. For a better understanding of what distinguishes articles from these type of pages, please see What is an article?. Again, thanks for contributing, and enjoy your Wikipedia experience! Thank you. [edit] THANX

Sacredsoul2 (talk) 13:09, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
Thanx so much NascarFan24 :) Ok I will spend some time reading the rules here!

[edit] Sound Factory NPOV

I tagged it because of expressions like this one: "The project features excellent musicians like", this: "Julie P. is a composer, songwriter, singer, dj (samplings, turntables), excellent sound and pro-tools engineer (she had her first home studio when she was seventeen) and record producer." and this: "Robertopeland's multiples activities as a drummer are proudly sponsored by Percussioni magazine, Dori acoustic booth and Acustica drum store." All of that sounds like advertising, thus it violates NPOV and got tagged as such. Andante1980 (talk) 07:57, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Juliepqueen.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Juliepqueen.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 02:45, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Coverdreamon.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Coverdreamon.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
