[edit] Strange word

Regarding this passage from the article, ...and once compered the Miss World contest in London., I wonder what the word compered is supposed to mean? I couldn't find it in any dictionary. I take it Distel didn't compete in Miss World? :-) --Wernher 13:59, 24 Jul 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Compère..

It should be compère, I'll edit. Compère is another word for the presenter of a show, specifically one who introduces the contestants. The word's usage is mainly British English. Hope that helps :)Girlintheyhat

[edit] Gossip

" He reputedly broke off the relationship with Bardot after discovering her with another man."

Supposing that is meant "reportedly", this part of the text rather belongs in a gossip-edition, than in an encyclopedia. It's unbelievable anyway; he won't have went to the cimema, to make his big discoverage? If just it wasn't another woman. Propose to remove it. James Blond 00:56, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
