Sacred Heart Academy High School is a private, Roman Catholic high school in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. It is located in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saginaw. Sacred Heart Academy or simply "SHA" has a history of providing education to Mid Michigan's brightest children. SHA has been scrutinized recently by surrounding schools for recruiting athletes. Some people in the Mount Pleasant community have negative thoughts in regards to SHA, the believed root is, SHA fosters many spoiled, upper class children, with no regards to the "working class". SHA has denied these allegations.

Sacred Heart Parish, a Roman Catholic faith community in central Michigan since 1872 with its rich heritage and varied life experiences, is committed to the mission of Jesus. SHA teachers/faculty/staff/students will share our time and talents to serve the poor, the parish and the extended community. Everyone will worship God as a unified and forgiving family. We will proclaim the gospel through powerful spiritual and educational ministries. SHA's commitment will be fulfilled through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and our generous stewardship.

The entire school is under the direction of the Saginaw Diocese. The current principal is Denny Starnes. Sacred Heart Academy (SHA) plans to expand during the 2008 summer break. The school currently has boarding accommodations. [1]
