Sachsenhausen (Oranienburg)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sachsenhausen (IPA[zaksənˈhaʊzən]) is a district of the town Oranienburg, which is on the outskirts of Berlin.

It was notorious as the site of the Nazi concentration camp also called Sachsenhausen.

For five years after World War II the Soviets used the facility as Special Camp No. 7 (later Soviet Special Camp No. 1)[1].
