[edit] Biography
[edit] Early years
Originally from Fredrick Douglass Houses located in Harlem, New York City, Sacario migrated to the notorious Washington Heights section of Upper Manhattan also known as “Little Dominican Republic” at the age of 12. Sacario attended Norman Thomas H.S where he rapped and performed for the first time ever in the schools annual talent showcase. He adopted the stage name “Jay Murder” after fellow Harlem rapper and inspiration “Mase Murder”, but was kicked out of school, but was allegedly kicked out of school by Gang Intelligence. However, regardless of his less-than-stellar start, Sacario proved to be extremely smart, excelling tremendously in Both Reading and Writing. He would go on to earn his G.E.D
[edit] Music
Before achieving mainstream success, Sacario independently released a street album titled “Invincible”. It was on this album that his now classic record “Live Big” (car keys) was originally featured. Invincible also attracted the attention of Hot 97 radio personality Angie Martinez and ultimately led to Sacario signing a multi-million dollar recording contract with Elektra Ent / Animal House
[edit] Animal House (2002)
Shortly after writing the huge single ‘If I Could Go’, Sacario was additionally hired to write Angie’s second single entitled ‘Take You Home’ featuring R&B Songstress (and wife of Hip-Hop star Nas) Kelis. Even thou Sacario was signed to Elektra Ent as an Artist he went on to write Angie Martinez entire ANIMAL HOUSE LP, which boasted appearances by Hip-Hop Superstars Missy Elliott, Rapper Noriega & Singer Lil Mo as well as production by Scott Storch, Rick Rok and Cool & Dre. The album debuted #11 on the BILLBOARD 200 ALBUMS selling just fewer than 100,000 copies in its first week. The album peaked #6 on the charts. [edit] Label Drama
Despite a massive buzz early in his career Sacario has yet to release a much anticipated album. In 2005 Sacario was granted a full release from Elektra after the label folded its Urban Department. [edit] Controversy
[edit] Jay-Z
Almost immediately, the young recording artist Sacario drew comparisons to another “young” rapper, Jay-Z. Sacario’s eerie almost identical vocal tone resemblance to the Hip-Hop icon led many to believe that Sacario was in fact, Jay-Z. Nevertheless, after careful consideration, Brooklyn Native, Producer and Jay-Z discoverer Clark Kent would be quoted as saying “They compare Sacario to Jay-Z simply because Sacario is that good”. In December 2007 Jay-Z partner and Owner of 40/40 Club and Baseline Studios, Juan Perez expressed major interest in bringing Sacario to Rocafella Records. A deal he says will be completed in 2008.

Sacario has one son (5 yrs old) by a former long-term girlfriend. He has also been speculated by many to being romantically involved with Angie Martinez as well as actress Lauren London, Singer Claudette Ortiz & French Model Noemie Lenoir. He currently resides in New York.
