Sac-Joaquin Section

The Sac-Joaquin Section is a part of the California Interscholastic Federation, governing the northeastern portion of the San Francisco Bay Area, the city of Sacramento, and the northern portion of the San Joaquin Valley.

The section is governed by a board of managers, whose voting members include representatives from member leagues, superintendents, school board associations and private schools. There are 174 member schools, assigned to leagues or conferences according to NCS Alignment and Classification Bylaws developed by the schools.

  • Central California Conference (CCC) - Atwater, Buhach Colony, Golden Valley, Los Banos, Merced, Pitman, Turlock
  • Delta River League (DRL) - Florin, Folsom, Jesuit (boys only), Monterey Trail, Pleasant Grove, Sheldon, St. Francis (girls only)
  • Delta Valley Conference (DVC) - Davis, Elk Grove, Franklin-EG, Kennedy (exc. football), Laguna Creek, Nevada Union (football only), Valley
  • Modesto Metro Conference (MMC) -Thomas Downey,Beyer, Grace Davis, Enochs, Gregori, Johansen, Modesto
  • Monticello Empire League (MEL) - Armijo, Fairfield, Napa, Vacaville, Vintage, Wood
  • San Joaquin Athletic Association (SJAA) - Bear Creek, Chavez, Franklin-S, Lincoln-S, Lodi, Tracy
  • Tri-City Athletic League (TCAL) - Edison, McNair, Sonora, St. Mary's, Stagg, Tokay, West

  • Metropolitan Conference (METRO) - Burbank, Grant, Johnson, Kennedy (football only), McClatchy, Rosemont, Sacramento
  • Sierra Foothill League (SFL) - Del Oro, Granite Bay, Nevada Union (exc. football), Oakmont, Rocklin, Roseville, Woodcreek
  • Sierra Valley Conference (SVC) - Christian Brothers, Cordova, Galt, Oak Ridge, Ponderosa, Union Mine

  • Capital Athletic League (CAL) - Bella Vista, Casa Roble, Del Campo, El Camino, Loretto (girls only), Mira Loma, Rio Americano
  • Tri-County Conference (TCC) - Inderkum, Natomas, Pioneer, River Valley, Woodland, Yuba City
  • Solano County Athletic Conference (SCAC) - Benicia, Bethel, Hogan, Rodriguez, Vallejo, Vanden

DIVISION IV (3 Leagues)

  • Capital Valley Conference (CVC) - Center, Dixon, Foothill, Rio Linda, River City, West Campus
  • Pioneer Valley League (PVL) - Bear River, Colfax, El Dorado, Lincoln-L, Mesa Verde, Placer, Whitney
