[edit] Welcome

[edit] Tim Duncan
I'd look up your point on the quadruple double. It's a possible addition to the article. Meanwhile, you may also want to check out Duncan's FAC page, where we are welcoming all suggestions to ensure the article is of quality. Chensiyuan 13:29, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
- Hi again, what's your take on the FAC though. Do you lean towards opposing it because there are many issues to sort out, or do you think it's nearing FA standard? In any case, thanks a lot for helping out at the FAC! Chensiyuan 01:18, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
- I think it's close to FA standard with some touch-ups. Some people have odd complaints about the article, specifically people that don't follow basketball, but I don't see it being too technical as they would imply. SabarCont 17:30, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
- Well, yes some complaints may seem odd to us but as you said they don't follow basketball (but some complaints are indeed weird). But since we know Wikipedia is written for a general readership, so we may need to write on a less technical level or explain technical terms at appropriate points. Anyway, I'd just like to thank you for your input during this FAC, and feel free to revamp NBA articles. The project's got a bunch of GAs and FAs, but even those need improvement from time to time. Happy editing, Chensiyuan 02:04, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
- Of course, I've been trying to use articles like Michael Jordan as a guide as to what might be too technical or what might not be. I joined the NBA Project here as I've edited a few NBA-related articles in the past and thought I could contribute more. Thanks for the words! SabarCont 19:52, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Burr-Hamilton duel GA Sweeps Review: On Hold
As part of the WikiProject Good Articles, we're doing sweeps to go over all of the current GAs and see if they still meet the GA criteria. I'm specifically going over all of the "World History-Americas" articles and just reviewed Burr-Hamilton duel. I am leaving this message on your page, along with the other relevant task forces/WikiProjects/editors to the article, since you significantly edited the article (as determined by WikiDashBoard) and figured you might be interested in helping to improve the article further. I believe the article currently meets the majority of the criteria and should remain listed as a Good article. In reviewing the article, I have found there are some issues considering sourcing that should be addressed, and I'll leave the article on hold for seven days for them to be fixed. The article needs just a few more inline citations and some minor cleanup, and if fixed, I'll pass the article. If you have any questions, let me know on my talk page, and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. --Nehrams2020 (talk) 21:30, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

Last month's Collaboration of the Month, Magic Johnson was a great success. A total of 560 edits were made to the article during the month of May, and the article was eventually nominated as a Featured Article Candidate. Although the article was not promoted, it was significantly improved through the work of many editors. This month's Collaboration of the Month is Steve Nash. Although this is article is already a Good Article, it still can be improved. In particular, all prose should conform to Featured Article standards, all statements should be verified, and the text should be in a neutral point of view. If there is anything you can do to improve the article, then please help out.
The Collaborator of the Month is given to the editor with the most number of substantial, beneficial edits to the article chosen as the Collaboration of the Month. This month's Collaborator of the Month award goes to Chensiyuan (talk · contribs). Although he had previously helped Magic Johnson to became a Good article, he made literally hundreds of edits during the month of May. For his contributions, he is rewarded with the NBA Collaborator of the Month Award. However, all beneficial edits made by any editor was a help.
