[edit] Coordinates

I think that the co-ordinates are not correct because it shows the map of Sint-Eustatius. The correct ones are: 17° 37' 31" N; 63° 14' 58" W (The Bottom)

I think correct coordinates are: N 17deg 38.1' | W 63deg 13.7'

[edit] Atoll

Saba is actually an atoll, not an island -Dan Sorry correction, Saba Bank formed around the volcano is the atoll, but this is important mention as it is the largest growing atoll in the Caribbean.

[edit] Picture

Added in a picture of the island showing the airport in the foreground and various communities up the hill. Thanks to copywright holder Tommy Mogren of www.vikingslides.com for allowing the use of this image! Burtonpe 02:26, 7 February 2006 (UTC)

LIAT does not fly to Saba, only WINAIR.

St Maarten (the Dutch side) is NOT clean. There is an abundance of litter on Dutch and French St Martin. Unfortunately, Saba is also getting more littered.

[edit] Name

I think "Saba" should be a disambiguation page, while this Saba would be at Saba (island). I really doubt that the majority of searches or references to "Saba" would be for this small island, as opposed to the Yemenite kingdom, or Sheba, or something similar.

[edit] Volcano

I changed the description of the volcano on Saba from "extinct" to "dormant" (some might even say active). Saba last witnessed a volanic eruption around the year 1640 (http://www.volcano.si.edu/world/volcano.cfm?vnum=1600-01=) and is subject to occasional seismic activity (http://www.uwiseismic.com/News/advisories.html) Saba should not be considered extinct.

[edit] Aeolian Island

Iman Wilkens in his book Where Troy Once Stood mentions Saba as the location of the Aeolian Island from Homer's poem "the Odyssey". Wouldn't it be interesting to mention this in the article? --Antiphus 15:50, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Municipality

Together with 2 other Dutch Island Saba will become a 'special' municipality, 'royal island', with the right to vote in Dutch and European elections. I don't know enough about the subject but it would be nice if someone could make the necessary changes.

It is written about on the articles Netherlands Antilles and Kingdom of the Netherlands. (en, aangezien je Nederlands bent, je kunt ook kijken op nl:Staatkundige hervormingen binnen het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden). Maartenvdbent 12:36, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

There are actually two roads. The old road and the new road, however one is almost unusable if my memory serves.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.155.144.199 (talk • contribs) 04:51, 15 April 2007
