Sabrina Colie

Sabrina Diana Colie (b. November 4, 1980 in Mandeville, Jamaica) is a Jamaican actress and director.

[edit] Early life and career

Colie's only sibling, Ramón Colie is four years her junior. Her mother, Juliet McDaniel Colie is a Jamaican dramatist of Afro-Scottish descent. Her father, Norman Colie is of Indian descent and a Mechanical Engineer who studied at The University of Glamorgan in Cardiff, Wales.

Colie's theatrical career spans over twenty years.

Colie completed her elementary education at Mt. St. Joseph Preparatory and high school and sixth form at Manchester High, Mandeville where she was valedictorian. She attended the Jamaica School of Drama Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts for one year before matriculating to Colgate University, from which she graduated in '05 with a double concentration in Theatre and French. In 2006, she was accepted into CalArts' M.F.A - Film Directing program but chose not to attend because of a lack of financing.
