Sabaya

Sabaya is a small town in the Bolivian Oruro Department.

Sabaya is the administrative center of Atahuallpa Province and Sabaya Municipio alike and is located 200 km southwest of the department capital Oruro. It is situated at 3,698 m above sea level in the Río Sabaya valley on the eastern slopes of Cerro Pumari (4787 m). Salar de Coipasa is located 25 km southeast of Sabaya, and the stratovolcano Tata Sabaya (5430 m) 20 km in a southwestern direction.

Sabaya has a population of 120 inhabitants.
