[edit] Gajendra Singh has got nothing to do with SaReGaMaPa 2007

I don't know why somebody added Gajendra Singh as Creator of this show. His last association with Zee TV was 'Lil champs 2006' and his last day in Zee TV was 28th of october 2006, the day of Lil champ finale. After that he started his own company "Sai baba Telefilms" and made two programs for Star TV ( Antakshri and Voice of India). SaReGaMaPa Vishwa-Yudha is completely the brain child of Rajeev Arora and Abhishek Dwivedi who conceived and implemented the idea in Jan 2007 and the show was started on May 4th 2007, much after Gajendra left Zee.

[edit] Elimination Chart

The chart was too wide for the page, so I split it up into two tables: Top 32, and Top 16. As contestants are eliminated at the Top 32 stage, they should be removed from the Top 16 table. Also, I removed the pre-done elimination formatting as it was too confusing and looked like the results were being predicted. The placements, pale goldenrod elimination cell, and grey colspan should be added after actual elimination happens. Hope this helps! =) MissMJ 23:56, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

Hi MissMJ. You've done a great job at formatting the table. You've fixed all of the problems that I was having trouble fixing with and it's basically just how I wanted it too look like. I think the main problem in the chart is that there are soo many contestants; if there is any change it requires all the position of the contestants on the table to change. You seem very skilled with tables, I just find Wiki Tables very complicated at times to understand while editing. I think there should be some additional program that converts something like an Microsoft Excel spreadsheet table into a Wikipedia table with ease. Again, thanks soo much. You're a star! -- Bhavesh.Chauhan Message Me | Contribs 03:07, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hindi spelling of Gharana

Can somebody fix the Hindi spelling of Gharana? I don't know how to edit Devanagari here. 144.214.16.21 04:27, 26 May 2007 (UTC)

Sure, I'll try to do it right now. -- Bhavesh.Chauhan Message Me | Contribs 04:40, 26 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] No personal pages of contestants please

There are hundreds of contests & competitions with contestants. It is not necessary to have a page dedicated for every contestant if his or her name is already mentioned on the competition page. It will be only worth to have a dedicated page if the artiste has recorded some song of music for an album. Till then, the name should only be limited to the contest page.

Oh my God! Why are you doing this? Those are NOT personal pages. These Top 14 contestants ARE significant. I'm not sure if you've read already, but I've replied yet again on the Rimi Dhar discussion page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Rimi_Dhar. I'm quite anrgy at your actions, if a final verdict was not reached the why have you requested deletion of those pages?? A couple of those pages are now deleted. We should have at least first settled the Rimi Dhar article before you put deletion tags on the other articles. - Bhavesh.Chauhan 04:47, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

There should be separate pages for each of the top 14 contestants. All of the other shows such as Indian Idol, STAR Voice, and even the American ones such as American Idol always have a page for their top contestants in the final rounds. How come only Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2007 has NO pages for any of the top 14 contestants? - Waleed —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.57.134.56 (talk)

I know that I started the Top 14 contestant pages and they eventually got deleted, but even another Wikipedian, Eukesh believes that these Top 14 finalists should have a page according to WikiProject Idol series. Being quite a major competition, I still think these finalists require a page on Wikipedia. If not all the contestants, then at least 4 of them are eligible on Wikipedia: Mauli Dave, Abhijit Kosambi, Aneek Dhar and Amanat Ali. If no one disagrees, I'll be moving their articles back in the mainspace - Bhavesh.Chauhan (talk contribs count) 17:18, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

Yea man, you should. Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is the top rated idol show in India and it consistently draws the top ratings over Indian Idol and SVOI, both of which have personal pages for their contestants. I don't what valid reason this guy gives for constantly deleting the SRGMP 2007 contestant pages. We're into the top 7 now and even top 10 would have been big enough. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.57.134.56 (talk) 01:19, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

lso just wanted to add that Sa Re Ga Ma Pa involved auditions all over the world and there not just Indian contestants but also Pakistani contestants and contestants from Dubai and USA. - Waleed

[edit] How can I add more names in the InfoBox

I wanted to add the names of creative directors of the show: Rajeev Arora and Dr Abhishek Dwevedi. These two are master mind behind the concept of 'Vishwa Yuddha 2007' and are the writers of the show also. I added their names, but it is not showing up on the page? Can anybody help please? Thanks, R

They don't show up in the article because the parameters didn't exist in the infobox's template here. I have just added these parameters and they should show up now in the article's infobox. But wasn't it possible to put these two people as "creators" or perhaps even "developers". In your opinion would "creative directors" remain a better term or should their status be changed to "developer" or "creator"? - Bhavesh.Chauhan (talk contribs count) 16:49, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
You are right Bhavesh, Since Rajeev and Abhishek are the creators, writers, theme and ideas originators for every week, they can be considered as Creators or developers. Thanks for adding the labels. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.6.222.178 (talk) 16:38, 2 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Personal Pages

Most contestants have their personal pages now. But Harpreet, Mussarat, and Junaid should also have one. Junaid had one but its been deleted for some reason. Hes already released a couple songs in his home country of Pakistan and acted in Karachi High before coming to India. And Mussarat and Harpreet both advanced very far and should also be given a page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.57.134.56 (talk) 23:12, 15 September 2007 (UTC) There, I created the page for Mussarat already. - Waleed —Preceding unsigned comment added by Showman16 (talkcontribs) 01:43, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
