[edit] 17th century denominations

FYI Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/17th century denominations --Philip Baird Shearer 11:39, 14 May 2006 (UTC)

I would argue that the page fulfills a valuable function as the overview page for English sects spans a very large timeframe. 17th Century groups have a special character; their relationship to the commonwealth is complex and their influence on the contemporary political process is considerable.

All the groups identified have at least some religious element. It is too simplistic to suggest groups at that period could be identified as being "secular" or "religious". The work of Christopher Hill and Brian Manning underlines the complexities of these interactions.

[edit] Redirects

On 14-May, you created a "soft" redirect from Great Eastern Railway Decapod to GER Decapod. You should do a real redirect in cases like this. The instructions for how are at Wikipedia:Redirect. I've fixed this one, but if you need help in the future, let me know. Thanks! -- JLaTondre 02:14, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Environmental history

Hi. I noticed your interest in environmental archaeology on your user page - you might be interested in the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Council/Proposals#Environmental_history|proposal for a WikiProject Environmental history]]. I'd appreciate it if you gave it a look and left any comments you might have.
