Introduction
"Stick it to them Dave! Death to 42 days!" I am known online mostly by either Sabre or S@bre. I'm an 18 year old history student from the south east of England and have been contributing significantly to Wikipedia since 2007, although I have been a member since at least 2005. One of my main reasons for joining is an enjoyment of writing and a wish to maintain these writing skills. I'm also a "modder" in that I have created and publically released 2d and 3d modifications—textures and in-game models—for the GoldSrc (specifically Half-Life) and Source (specifically Day of Defeat: Source) engines—if you dig deep enough into the depths of the Internet you may find a few. I also possess modding experience with Grand Prix 4, GTR and the id Tech 3 engine, but have made no public releases. I am a member of the strategy games Wikiproject and the video games Wikiproject. I currently do some assessing for the video games Wikiproject's assessment department. My main focus is on editting articles relating to fiction, mostly on computer game topics. I focus on articles relating to the StarCraft series and several articles concerning games by the Valve Corporation. In addition, I'm doing some initial work to cleaning up the fiction articles to do with the Half-Life series. I would like to perhaps work on some of Wikipedia's medieval history articles in the future, but I fear my knowledge of the subject is not at a sufficient level to contribute as effectively as I might like at present. This user page is based off of designs by David Fuchs and AGK. |
