S.W.A.L.K.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
For the 1971 movie, aka S.W.A.L.K. or Sealed With A Loving Kiss, see Melody (1971 film).
S.W.A.L.K. is an acronym usually seen on a letter of a courting couple. It means Sealed With A Loving Kiss.
Another acronym commonly used is S.W.A.K., whereby the only difference is the elimination of the "L" for "Loving".
One acronym misconception is that SWALK stands for Soldiers Will Always Love (the) King.
These Acronyms were common during the 2nd World War and others include 'B.U.R.M.A' which stands for 'Be upstairs ready my angel' and 'M.A.L.A.Y.A'- 'My ardent lips await your arrival'. There was some further speculation that in the case of German interception these acronyms would provide misleading information as to troop movements although this may be apocryphal.
