Sport Clube Freamunde is a Portuguese football club competing in the Liga Vitalis after gaining promotion from the Second Division. FC Porto's José Bosingwa started here. Their home stadium is Campo SC Freamunde.

S.C. Freamunde started in a casual way. It all began when António Filipe watched a group of kids playing in the streets of Freamunde. Impressed by their quality, he decided to start a club; its name was Freamunde Sporte Clube. This first version of S.C. Freamunde was very simple, without the quality uniforms, good boots or fine sports installations that we can find today.
[edit] Professional beginning
Padre Castro, a big supporter of the club, was the main responsable for the S.C. Freamunde as it is known today. In 1935, with the entry on the extinct Campeonato da Promoção, now knew as Liga Vitalis, Freamunde gained the blue and white colours and the flag of the same colours that remain to this day. This is how and when their football foundations were lain.

Few clubs in the second-tier of Portuguese football can take pride in an official magazine. The magazine O Estrelinha is an old initiative of the directors of the club that keeps making huge success between the people of Freamunde and supporters of the football club.
