S. Robert Rozbruch, MD

After graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania, S. Robert Rozbruch was educated at Weill Medical College of Cornell University from which he graduated with honors in research. He finished residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery and this was followed by two fellowships. He did specialized training in Orthopaedic Trauma as an AO fellow at the University of Bern in Switzerland. Additional training in adult and pediatric limb lengthening and reconstruction followed at the International Center for Limb Lengthening & Reconstruction in Baltimore.

Named one of the best orthopaedic surgeons of New York (New York Magazine, 2006 and 2007) and America (Castle Connolly Medical LTD), Dr. Rozbruch is currently the Director of the Institute for Limb Lengthening & Reconstruction, Chief of the Limb Lengthening and Deformity Service at the Hospital for Special Surgery. He is an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Weill Medical College of Cornell University and is currently being reviewed for promotion to Associate Professor. He is a member of several national medical societies including fellowship in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Orthopaedic Trauma Association, and ASAMI - The Limb Lengthening & Reconstruction Society of which he is an executive board member. He has presented his scientific works at national medical meetings and has authored numerous articles in medical journals and chapters in Orthopaedic textbooks. Recently, he edited a textbook titled, Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction Surgery, (Informa Healthcare Press, 2006) which is the authoritative reference in the field.
