S. P. Udayakumar is an Indian writer and social activist. He directs the South Asian Community Center for Education and Research (SACCER) at Nagercoil in Tamil Nadu to carry out community work, and educational and research ventures.
An active member of the World Futures Studies Federation and the International Peace Research Association, Udayakumar takes special interest in Futures Studies and Peace Studies. He is on the editorial board of the Journal of Futures Studies and also the Director of TRANSCEND South Asia [1], described as "the world's first on-line peace university".

Udayakumar (affectionately known as "Kumar") teaches at the New Jersey Governor's School of Public Issues and the Future of New Jersey at Monmouth University. In 2007, he taught a course called "Race and Ethnicity and Globalization," which capitalized on many of his published works.
