S. J. Joshi

Shrikrishna Janardan Joshi (1915-1989) was an award-winning Marathi novelist. He lived and worked in Pune, the hub of Brahmin orthodoxy, which is depicted with pitiless insight in his writings. A prolific writer, he is the author of several collections of short stories, novels and essays. His award-winning novel Anandi Gopal was a fictional account of the life of Anandi Gopal, India's first lady doctor.
Writer Shri Ja Joshi (or Shripad J Joshi), author of Ulagaa_ulag, had the same initials as Shrikrishna Janardan Joshi.
