From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

São Pedro de Nordestinho (first part, Portuguese for Saint Peter) is a parish in the district of Nordeste in the Azores. It was probably the seat where the old parish of Nodestinho was located. It is located west of Nordeste. The main industry is agriculture. It is connected with a road linking Ponta Delgada and Nordeste. The Atlantic Ocean is to the north. The mountains are to the south. On July 16, 2002, the parish of Nordestinho ceased to exist and São Pedro de Nordestinho along with other two parishes named Algarvia and Santo António de Nordestinho came into existence.
