Ryofu Pussel is a Japan-based German Buddhist monk and photographer.

Ryofu Pussel has published five books.[1] He is fully licensed as a Soto-Zen-Buddhist monk, with shukke-tokudo, hossenshiki, shiho, zuise and denpo teaching license, all received in Japan.
He enjoys the Japanese Way of Tea, where he holds the highest teaching-license, (jun-kyoju),of the Urasenke-School of Tea, Kyoto.
He is a member of the International Association of Buddhist Studies (c/o University of Lausanne, Switzerland), the UK Association for Buddhist Studies (c/o University of Sunderland, UK), and the Tankokai, the Professional Association of Tea-teachers.
In addition, he is an active member of Rotary International (Club President 2007-08, Bequest Society Member, Benefactor, Multiple Paul Harris Fellow). As a Rotarian, he is much involved in various international humanitarian projects.
He is a member of the Nikon Professional Services, as well as a member of the Professional Photographers of America, the National Press Photographers Association (USA), and the Royal Photographic Society (UK).
Ryofu Pussel's university education includes a Master of Arts in Buddhist Studies (University of Sunderland, England) and a Master of Education (University of Wollongong, Australia). He has also studied and successfully completed Philosophy courses (University of Oxford).
