The article Foxy Shazam has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki 06:00, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

  • You're going to need reliable independent sources to show the band's notability -- that doesn't include the band's own MySpace and PureVolume pages, which were the only sources cited in the article. NawlinWiki 21:21, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
      • Sorry, you still don't have reliable independent sources. All you've added since last time is a citation to the band's own label. That's not an independent source. See WP:V. NawlinWiki 05:03, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
        • I applaud your research and diligence. You do now seem to have sources showing notability, and I would not speedily delete the article if you reposted it. However, you should go over it again and edit out the unsourced statements of opinion such as "Their guitar riffs separate them from many young groups today, putting them slightly above the rest." Much as you may like the band, it's not legitimate for the article to contain your personal views on why the band is so good. See WP:NPOV. Once you make those edits, I am not opposed to your reposting the article. Thanks, NawlinWiki (talk) 18:59, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
          • I'm OK with the current version. Go ahead and move it back to Foxy Shazam. Again, thanks for your hard work. NawlinWiki (talk) 16:53, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button Image:Signature_icon.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 16:46, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Would you mind if I contribute to the Foxy Shazam article?? I have a good deal written up for it already...K-LIDD (talk) 03:12, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

No problem. It's kind of my first page as well, I've been working on it for a couple months now. I'm a big fan of Foxy Shazam, ther're really good. I think it's going to be difficult to find information to make the individual members pages. Hopefully we can find something.`K-LIDD (talk) 18:23, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
