From VfD:

Seems non-notable. --Gary D 00:26, 5 Aug 2004 (UTC)

  • He appears to have done quite a bit with Myst, however I don't know enough to tell context. Tentative keep. |Rhymeless 00:32, 5 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • I disagree it needs to be deleted. I'd say he's about as notable as Rand Miller, definitely moreso then Robyn Miller (for which a link exists on this page, although it has yet to be filled in). --John Lynch 01:00, 5 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. Rand and Robyn are certainly encyclopedic, and Ryan gets enough press in his own right to make me err on the side of keep. On an unrelated note, parents who name their children according to a name scheme should probably be sterlised :) -- Finlay McWalter | Talk 01:10, 5 Aug 2004 (UTC)
LOL. Growing up, there were four sisters around my age at my family's church, Kelly, Kim, Kathy, and Kris Warren. No vote--not a subject I know well, and the google test is problematic because the name's so common. I got as far as "ryan miller" -hockey -snowboarder -cmu -associates -nhl -anne -football -usgs, which cut the original 30K+ to 14k hits, but even still, only one of the first 20 hits seem to be this Ryan Miller. try "ryan miller" cyan and "ryan miller" myst which should narrow the search better for you -- Finlay McWalter | Talk 02:30, 5 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. Consider a book as notable as Myst, which must be, to date, one of the fifty most notable computer games of all time. Now consider a person who is not listed as coauthor, but has as close a relation to the book as Ryan Miller does to Myst. We'd probably consider that person notable. Anne Brontë, for example, whose own work wouldn't be all that notable were it not for her connection to her sisters. [[User:Dpbsmith|dpbsmith (talk)]] 01:49, 5 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. Quite notable enough in his own right. Article does need some work but there seem plenty of people interested in anything Myst-related so I imagine it will happen. Andrewa 04:10, 5 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. Notable in his own right as an author, and certainly notable because of his involvement with Cyan Worlds. Anárion 09:01, 5 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. --Dittaeva 18:12, 10 Aug 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Vandalism?

..currently lives in Spokane, Washington with his children and his wife, whom he married at age 20, as if you really care.

Is this vandalism or should it be present? I don't want to delete it because it seems so obvious...if it's not supposed to be here somebody would have noticed it before me, right? Reediewes 07:08, May 8, 2005 (UTC)

Not neccesarily. I took care of it. Thanks for noticing! Tim Rhymeless (Er...let's shimmy) 10:33, 8 May 2005 (UTC)

[edit] homepage is no more?
