Ryan Shore (born December 29, 1974 in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian film composer and saxophonist. Mr. Shore was educated at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA and attended Spanish River Community High School in Boca Raton, Florida. He is the nephew of Howard Shore.[1] He created the music score for the video podcast Goodnight Burbank.[2]

Ryan Shore has a background of classical, jazz and contemporary music. His recent scores include Prime starring Meryl Streep and Uma Thurman; Harvard Man starring Adrian Grenier and Sarah Michelle Gellar; Scout's Honor starring Bill Murray and Alec Baldwin; Vulgar directed by Bryan Johnson; Lift starring Kerry Washington; Headspace starring Sean Young and Dee Wallace-Stone; and Kettle of Fish starring Matthew Modine and Gina Gershon. He also composed original on-camera music for Fur starring Nicole Kidman and Robert Downey Jr., for which he was seen in the film performing his original music.[3]
Shore's releases in 2007 and 2008 include Numb starring Matthew Perry and Mary Steenburgen; Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer, starring Robert Englund, which he recorded and conducted with the 91-piece Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra; The Girl Next Door based on the best selling novel by Jack Ketchum; Shadows, written and directed by Milcho Manchevski; and Made for Each Other starring Bijou Phillips, Danny Masterson and Patrick Warburton.[4]
For his score to Cadaverous, he received the first-ever Elmer Bernstein Scoring Award, which was personally judged and presented by Academy Award winning composer Elmer Bernstein. Ryan's work in film also includes producing the music for the Saturday Night Live theatrical logo, orchestrating for Analyze This and Dogma and source music arranging for The Game.[5]
He also plays saxophone, clarinet and flute and has performed with Matchbox Twenty on their US tour, including a special street performance on Late Show with David Letterman.[6]
