Ryan Perkins

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ryan Perkins is a placekicker and punter for the University of Washington Huskies in the Pacific-10 Conference (Pac-10). Perkins graduated from North Thurston High School in 2005 and was heralded as one of the top kickers in the nation. Perkins was an All American punter coming out of high school with a 46.7 yard punt average which included a 71 yarder.

Perkins is more notably known for his ambidextrous abilities. He is among the few kickers and punters ever in college history to be able to kick and punt with both feet. Perkins has been known to adapt to bad snaps on punt situations by switching legs in order to get kicks off downfield.

"I have the power that's more for placekicking, and they know that. If they wanted me to do more punting than placekicking, I'd start using my left more often. It's good because finding someone that can kick left-footed is hard to find and the spin throws people off." - Ryan Perkins [1]
