Beginning his career with Coventry City as a trainee, he found it difficult to break into the first team and so was sent out on loan to Tamworth where he made three appearances. After being released by midlands side Coventry at the end of the 2006/2007 season.

[edit] Crewe Alexandra

After being released by Coventry City Lynch then had a trial with Crewe Alexandra, Lynch then signed a 1 year contract in July 2007 and join this season Lynch only managed to make 1 apperance for Crewe Alexandra and was then loaned out to Stafford Rangers and Altrinchamfor the rest of the season. After finishing his loan at Altrincham Lynch was released in May 2008.
