Ryan Laight (born November 16, 1985 in Barnsley, England) who now plays for Matlock Town. He plays in defence.
Ryan has come through the youth ranks with Barnsley, he made his debut on 4 February 2004 against Bristol City.
On October 3, 2006, Ryan and fellow Barnsley teammate Thomas Harban joined Nationwide Conference side Tamworth on loan.
Laight told Barnsley's official website:
"I think the Conference will be more physical than anything I've been involved in before and I'm expecting it to be a lot more direct."
"It's been a little frustrating for the last few years and I'm looking forward to a new challenge after being stuck in the reserves. It's a chance to play and a chance to impress the gaffer here."
Both Laight and Harban made there first appearance for Tamworth against Aldershot.
