Ryan Kurtzer

Ryan Kurtzer, born in England, is an International Baseball Player who plays for the Great Britain National Baseball team.

In 2007, Ryan played in the European Championship Qualifier that was held in Calabria, Italy. He posted the second highest batting average for the tournament at .467. He also finished 4th in slugging percentage (.533), 7th in on-base percentage (.500), T-4th in hits (7) and T-6th in total bases (8). All of these were Great Britain team highs for the tournament.

Other National teams Ryan played against in the European Championship Qualifier were the eventual tournament winners Italy along with Lithuania, Israel, San Marino and Switzerland.

In 2006, Ryan represented Great Britain in the 4th annual Kenko International Tournament that was held in Rho, Italy. During this tournament Ryan was the winning pitcher when his team beat the national team from Slovenia 7-4. Ryan pitched six of the seven innings giving up 3 earned runs and striking out 5. Slovenia beat Ryan’s Great Britain team earlier in the tournament by a score of 12-3 and later in the tournament by a score of 21-9.

Other National teams Ryan played against at this tournament were two Italian teams, Poland, Hungary, Slovenia and Romania.

In 2004, Ryan represented Great Britain in the 2nd annual Kenko International Tournament that was held in Nettuno, Italy. During this tournament Ryan was the only Great Britain Catcher to throw a runner out who attempted to steal and was tied on the team for the most hits for the tournament (4).

Other National teams Ryan played against at this tournament were four Italian teams and Lithuania.
