Ryan Fowler (born May 20, 1982 in Redington Shores, Florida) is an American football linebacker for the Tennessee Titans of the NFL. He attended Seminole High School (Pinellas County, Florida) He was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Duke University. Fowler is known around the NFL as a great special team player. In 2006 he lost the battle for a starting Linebacker spot on the Dallas Cowboys to Linebacker and fellow teammate Bradie James.
As a restricted free agent, Fowler signed an offer sheet with the Tennessee Titans on March 12, 2007. The Dallas Cowboys did not match the Titans' offer so Fowler will go to Tennessee. He is expected to be the teams starting middle linebacker after the departure of Peter Sirmon in free agency.
One June 9, 2008, it was announced that Fowler is under investigation in connection with an apparent steroids case involving NFL steroid dealer David Jacobs. [1]
This announcement is a continuation of the trend of scumbag players coming from the Dallas Cowboys and the Duke Blue Devils.
