[edit] Playing career
On Ryan's debut season, he played 17 matches and kicked only 1 goal. The following year, Ryan would have his best season to date having played all games including the Elimination Final against Geelong. In 2006, Ryan would have a shocker of a year, only playing 3 games for the entire year due to injury. His 2007 season was only just better, playing 8 matches and kicking 2 goals.
On 15 October 2007 it was revealed on the AFL website that Ryan Ferguson has been delisted from the Melbourne Football Club
