Ryan Ferguson (born September 29, 1981) is an Australian Rules Footballer in the Australian Football League.

Recruited from Frankston in the 2002 National Draft (5th round selection; No. 66 Overall), Ryan has been a good contributor to the Melbourne Football Club as a tall defender.

Ryan hasn't played as much games as he would like due to numerous injuries he has sustained over the course of his career.

[edit] Playing career

On Ryan's debut season, he played 17 matches and kicked only 1 goal. The following year, Ryan would have his best season to date having played all games including the Elimination Final against Geelong. In 2006, Ryan would have a shocker of a year, only playing 3 games for the entire year due to injury. His 2007 season was only just better, playing 8 matches and kicking 2 goals.

On 15 October 2007 it was revealed on the AFL website that Ryan Ferguson has been delisted from the Melbourne Football Club
