Ryan Butler is an is an American politician and filmmaker.[1] He is an elected member of the Advisory Neighborhood Commission[2] in the District of Columbia and represents Single Member District 2B04.

Ryan Butler currently serves on the Advisory Neighborhood Commission for Dupont Circle [3] in Ward 2. He was elected on November 7, 2006 with 87.47% of the vote.[4]

Ryan Butler's most notable film, A Union In Wait is an independent documentary film about same-sex marriage which aired on Sundance Channel in 2001 and was screened at over 20 film festivals around the world.[5]
