[edit] Those Damn Bandits
Is it proper to include how much their first album, Those Damn Bandits has sold for on eBay? There's no easy way to verify the info but I've seen a disc go for $127.50 and I've heard they can go higher. ---little_tinyfish
A used Those Damn Bandits went for $66.00 on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330027748857 ---little_tinyfish
- I recently added the Those Damn Bandits article, and noted there that the album once sold for $150, which happened a few years ago. I don't think it's necessary that it's on this page, but it's possible. Shuckiduck 07:34, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] iTunes
iTunes lists their newest album as And the Battle Begins. Should this be noted?
- I don't think it's necessary - if you search for ...And the Battle Begun the album will still come up on an iTunes search; plus, it's an error - hopefully it will be fixed. If anything, maybe put "Upon the album's release, iTunes inadverently listed the album as And the Battle Began - and hopefully we'll be able to say it was fixed on whatever date. [edit] Drive Thru
Was this removed for any good reason?
- " In 2006 the band and the label parted ways after which their latest album was released. Of the original line-up, only singer/songwriter Matt Embree and drummer Chris Tsagakis remain." Little tinyfish 05:21, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] 5 Piece Band?
Then someone needs to change the picture. I see 6 faces, not five. (-Kid. 12:39, 22 May 2007 (UTC))
[edit] Unencyclopedic style
"Though they fall somewhat short of being a full fledged "jam band", it is fair to say that they exhibit musicianship live that is not captured by their recordings." Am I the only one who reads this and thinks it came from anything but an encyclopedia?
It seems it's written more as a freelance biography that prefaces a long interview.EunuchOmerta 05:20, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
- I agree. This needs a re-write or removal, and definitely needs references. Little tinyfish 03:02, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
-
- i definitely vote against a removal; it gives a great deal of knowledge of the band's history. i do agree that more information (particularly a beginning summary) should be added, but i'd frown upon removing of information unless it is replaced by equally informative (and hopefully referenced) content... - It isn't just whether or not it is informative, it also matters if it is slanted and unencyclopedic. I would almost say that changing to article to a stub is preferable to the current version. Its not doing the band any favors to keep it as it is. if that is what your thinking. When someone comes across this article and reads it they aren't going to take it seriously enough to go buy one of their CDs.- Moshe Constantine Hassan Al-Silverburg | Talk 14:43, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Rich Balling in TSOAF
Is the new information on Rich Balling in The Sounds of Animals Fighting accurate? It says he was the former lead singer, but earlier lists him as the former Trombone player. Is this info even relevant? Little tinyfish 03:00, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Adding "Cleanup" template
I have added a cleanup template to the article. I believe that most objective readers will agree that the article's current wording and indeed the overall style sounds somewhat akin to an advertisement of some sort or at least a VH1 "behind the music" special or whatever they are called. Anyways, I think that a rewrite would be appropriate. I would do it myself except I don't really know enough about the subject to do that great of a job, or really even a poor job.- Moshe Constantine Hassan Al-Silverburg | Talk 14:37, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
