Rwanda Over The Counter Exchange
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Rwanda Over The Counter Market is Rwanda's stock market. It was founded on January 31, 2008 and operates out of the Rwandan capital of Kigali. The market is run by the Rwandan government, with ambitions to become independent.[1] Initially the exchange only sold bonds - one offered by the Rwandan central bank and one by the Commercial bank of Rwanda. The market has plans for future expansion and is due to start issuing equities in June.[2]
