This is a template designed to aid in the linking of characters in Red vs. Blue. Currently, each character has a section in one of the Red vs Blue characters auxiliary articles, so a proper piped link looks something like [[List of characters in Red vs Blue characters#Lopez|Lopez]]. This is somewhat annoying and error-prone to type out. With this template, you would type {{rvbchar|Lopez}}, which produces Lopez, or {{rvbchar|Lopez|Lopez "la Pesado"}} for a different display text: Lopez "la Pesado".

The exhaustive list of valid characters is:

  • Sarge
  • Simmons
  • Grif
  • Church
  • Donut
  • Tucker
  • Caboose
  • Tex
  • Red Team
  • Blue Team
  • Lopez
  • Warthog (or Puma or Chupathingy)
  • Sheila
  • Andy
  • Wyoming
  • Doc
  • O'Malley
  • York
  • Gary
  • Alien
  • The Great Destroyer
  • The Red Zealot
  • Grunts
  • Phil
  • Vic
  • Vic Jr.
  • Max Gain
  • Jimmy
  • Mickey
  • Captain Flowers
  • Sister
  • Junior
  • New Alien
  • Delta
  • The Meta
  • The Counselor
  • Walter
  • York

If an unknown name is given, the template instead degenerates to usage information linking to this documentation page. Bad character names can therefore be detected by checking Special:Whatlinkshere/Template:rvbchar/doc. Any main namespace pages linking here probably contain a bad character name and should be corrected.
