[edit] "Aviation Smog"
hi Robert -- I removed the "aviation smog" section after a couple comments on Talk:Smog where others said that they thought the term was not used this way. I agree; I have never seen "aviation smog" used in this way before. There are less than 1000 hits in google (and your pictures are high in the ranking), leading me to believe that it is a new term. While it is certainly true that new terms are coined all the time, it is definitely not wikipedia's role to coin them or propagate neologisms; once a term is widely accepted we may use it, but an encyclopedia is not the right place for developing new ones. If the term is widely used in the scientific literature, for example, and if there are references, then it would make sense to add back. If so, please post some details at Talk:Smog first. Great pictures, by the way! groetjes, bikeable (talk) 19:03, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
