[edit] Merge with R.V. (2006 film)

I created another article about R.V. without realizing that this one already existed. I don't want to delete the former without discussion, but the reason I'm suggesting a merge with this version is simply for naming purposes. "R.V. (2006 film)" is kind of a redundant title because as far as I can see, there is no other film article on Wikipedia about a film called R.V. Also, this article's version seems a bit more complete and detailed than the former. --Buchanan-Hermit™..CONTRIBS..SPEAK!. 06:26, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] "R.V." or "RV"

According to the movie posters & trailer, the movie is titled "RV" ... yet imdb.com has the film titled as "R.V."! I feel that the trailer and posters take precedent over imdb.com WRT the official title, hence why I moved the article! What do you guys think? Amchow78 19:53, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

I was wondering about that too. --Thorpe | talk 21:19, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

RV, definitely. --Discharger12 00:53, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

When I first created this article, I used the IMDB title. They used "R.V." So personally, I'm going by that one. →Buchanan-Hermit™..SCREAM!!!.... 00:59, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] BMW X3

Are u sure Robin drove a X3?IF the SUV u referring to is the one that Robin's char fetched Cassie and Gretchen, then as in the DVD i watched im sure it is the Volvo XC90,not BMW X3.

[edit] Possible movie glitches

1. The Odometer on the RV just before the gas station scene reads 11.1

Miles, when the gas level indicator is on "E".

2. When the RV is balancing on that hill, with all the wheels in the

air, when the character "Bob" runs from the rear of the RV to the

front (jumps on the front), the rear of the RV goes down (the front

of the RV comes up)!

[edit] RV Trivia

I am a first timer writer / daily reader.

In the trivia section a writer mentions that "After the motorhome's brakes unlock yet again and sinks into the lake, but is towed out of there two days later, the engine still manages to run. It is generally known that an engine, after being flooded, usually takes weeks to restore to working condition."

This isn't necessairly true. I have submerged a touring motorcycle in a creek (tried to ford a creek that crossed a gravel road during a flood, normally 3 inches deep, actually 4 feet deep that day because the creek bed had washed out). Once I carried it home and replaced the fuel, oil and sparkplugs it fired right up and was fine. It did require some alcohol be added to the fuel to "dry" the fuel out (mixes with the water so that the water will mix with the gasoline and be consumed instead of puddling in the gas tank or carburetors).

Off-roaders also contend with flooded engines from time to time - deep creeks, boats that sink, mudholes, etc.

A bigger potential problem would be the electrical system - RV electrics or drivetrain electrics.

FWIW we really liked the movie but wished that the language would have been a bit milder. For family fare the bathroom language could have been left out and the movie no worse for it.

I also have plans to restore a Flxible coach in the next few years.

Thanks for everything the Wikipedia crew does for us!
