[edit] Gay Icon Project
In my effort to merge the now-deleted list from the article Gay icon to the Gay icons category, I have added this page to the category. I engaged in this effort as a "human script", adding everyone from the list to the category, bypassing the fact-checking stage. That is what I am relying on you to do. Please check the article Gay icon and make a judgment as to whether this person or group fits the category. By distributing this task from the regular editors of one article to the regular editors of several articles, I believe that the task of fact-checking this information can be expedited. Thank you very much. Philwelch 22:20, 24 Mar 2005 (UTC)
[edit] German Ancestory
Is there any evidence that she has German ancestory? I'm trying to remove all Austrian, Jewish and Swiss Americans from the German American category.
No, she is "fully" Jewish in ancestry. You should remove her from German-Americans if you want.Vulturell 09:02, 5 November 2005 (UTC)
- No, you shouldn't, and someone has already reverted the removal of the category. Just because she's Jewish doesn't make her any less German. --Angr/tɔk tə mi 00:02, 12 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Cat:Sex symbols
[edit] Cat:Sex symbols
This seems a rather unlikely claim on the face of it, but perhaps if she'd given me my libido back, I'd think differently. Do we have a WP:CITEation for this? If we have a link per Wikipedia:Reliable source that names her as a sex symbol, we've satisfied WP:V. - brenneman(t)(c) 22:09, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Cat:Snipers
I added her to the category: Snipers as per her biographical information. --Xiaou 02:49, 1 April 2006 (UTC)
- That's an interesting claim but perhaps we should cite sources about her being a sniper?
- There's a transcript of an interview where she talks (briefly) about it here. I can't get a transcript of it, but she also talks about it in this NPR interview (which you can listen to for free). --Athaler 03:53, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Choice of photograph
I'm wondering why this dated picture of Dr. Ruth is used on this page. Dr. Ruth has aged since this photograph and this is not how the general populace would recognize her.
If there are no objections to this, I'll implement it next week if I remember. Sartan 23:59, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
I actually did ask around, and this is how people recognize Ruth ;) No changes will be put in.--Sartan 03:57, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] World War II
"During World War II, she was sent without her parents to Switzerland when she was ten years old." WWII only started when she was already eleven years old! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 217.224.31.42 (talk) 21:49, 14 May 2007 (UTC).
