Rutilus basak is a species of ray-finned fish in the Cyprinidae family. It is found in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, and Serbia and Montenegro. Its natural habitats are intermittent rivers and freshwater lakes. It is threatened by habitat loss.
