[edit] AKC FSS

I FIXED THE ARTICLE.

A tag has been placed on AKC FSS, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -- Jhinman 21:41, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

I FIXED IT!

[edit] Image:Russell_Terrier_000.jpg listed for deletion

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as Image:Russell_Terrier_000.jpg has been listed for speedy deletion because you selected a copyright license type implying some type of restricted use, such as for non-commercial use only, or for educational use only or for use on Wikipedia by permission. While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, a non-profit website, this is in fact not the case. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because content on Wikipedia needs to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License, which allows anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial.

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. RHaworth 22:44, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

For an image to be considered "free" under Wikipedia's Image use policy, the license must permit both commercial reuse and derivative works. YES All copyright and licensing tags should be put on a line of their own. Example Please? Along with a tag, specify the source or copyright holder information. Provide as much detail as possible. Joanne Stoll, California

If you tag an image as requiring attribution, please specify who needs to be attributed. If multiple categories apply to an image, add all that apply. The Wikimedia Commons does not allow fair use material, but such images can still be used on the English Wikipedia (see Wikipedia:Copyrights#Fair use materials and special requirements).

[edit] License tagging for Image:Russell Terrier.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Russell Terrier.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 04:06, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] American Jack Russell Terrier Association

A tag has been placed on American Jack Russell Terrier Association, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. If you plan to add more material to the article, I advise you to do so immediately. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

Sorry - but I did leave it for 24 hours - which I think is generally considered a lot in Wiki-time - before putting the tag on. Springnuts 21:27, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Emptiness

Please do not create pages that are empty except for an "under construction" tag. For one thing, they look bad when people reach them via the "random article" link.

You may create the article in your userspace, here: user:Russellsterrier/American Jack Russell Terrier Association, and when it's ready, ask an administrator to move it into article space. DS 02:40, 12 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Chablis_left1_.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Chablis_left1_.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. MER-C 11:15, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
