[edit] Thanks (List of Lost episodes)
I doubt that this will last for longer than a few days before the user ed g2 comes back and removes all of the images, but thank you for re-uploading the screenshots. They are very visually appealing. --thedemonhog 21:39, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Template:LostNav
Thank you for the obvious work you've been trying to put in to make the LostNav template more comprehensive, but making changes that affect so many articles should be discussed first. Please use the Template talk:LostNav page to bring up your proposal and get consensus to make such a change. Regards, --LeflymanTalk 17:33, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] List of One Tree Hill episodes
Hi, your recent addition to List of One Tree Hill episodes looks like a direct copyvio from tv.com. See [1]. That whole article looks like a lot of episode summaries are lifted from some website. Garion96 (talk) 17:49, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

- I haven't changed any summarys???? Russell29 19:46, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
- With this you changed an episode summary. Garion96 (talk) 19:57, 10 May 2007 (UTC)
- Well..how was I supposed to know you got it from the episode page? :) No, of course then it wasn't your copyvio. I guess that means all the individual episode articles need to be checked too for copyvio's. :(
- Addendum. You did created the You Call It Madness, But I Call It Love article (the episode page)though on which with this edit you added the copyvio. Garion96 (talk) 21:44, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Smallville
The background color on the infobox was a nice idea, but the later seasons have darker colors, and the black text does not show up well enough to read on them. Since we cannot get white text to show up there, we need to keep it consistent with everyone else. BIGNOLE (Contact me) 12:36, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
-
- Main characters are already listed on Smallville (TV series), and Lois, Clark, Lionel, the Kents, Pete, and Chloe all have their own personal pages. It's a duplication of Smallville characters (season 1), season 2, season 3 and so on. Those pages list everyone but the main cast members. The main cast is covered on the main article and on their person pages. Per WP:WAF we don't treat characters (er..we aren't supposed to) as if they are real. That means we shouldn't write fictional biographies about them. BIGNOLE (Contact me) 13:18, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
-
-
- Discussing with Matthew, the recurring character section is really biased and unnecessary. If the character is important to the episode then they will be mentioned in the episode plot. They are already listed on the character list pages anyway. That was why they were removed from the other season articles. BIGNOLE (Contact me) 19:34, 16 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Shrek The Halls.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:Shrek The Halls.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 20:27, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Smallville characters
Do you plan to do the same thing with Whitney, because Whitney and Jason are pretty much covered on the main page...so I don't see why they should be on the list of character pages. It's just tons of plot information, that is unnecessary. BIGNOLE (Contact me) 18:14, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
- Then it just goes back to the idea of including Whitney, and Chloe, Lana, Clark, Lex, Lionel, Martha, Jonathan, and Pete for that matter. There isn't a real reason to include a main cast member on the list pages because they are already being covered on the main article. Generally, important plot elements that happen to the main characters get mentioned on the season pages' episodes. BIGNOLE (Contact me) 20:27, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

- My talk page is open to whatever cordial conversations appear, so don't worry about what is and is not appropriate. I only bide by the "no chit chat" rule on article talk pages. Anyway, to answer you question, they do talk about them briefly in the companions. I can't remember which talk about which in what capacity, but if you give me some time I'll try and look for the information. I own all of the companions that are currently out, and have plans already to get the sixth and seventh ones when they come out later this year. BIGNOLE (Contact me) 23:58, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

- I added what I found in the Season 2 companion, I'm a little busy in real life to look through the other companions at the moment. I'll probably have more time this weekend or something. It's a little spaced, so the information might not be ready for the article itself. But that's your call. Usually, I work it all up in the sandbox first till its ready, then put it in the article. You might have to search online for more information (which I'll try to help out with as well). BIGNOLE (Contact me) 01:12, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Skins Characters
Hi, just wanted to let you know why I originally added Sketch and Scarlett as Main characters on the Skins page, that was because they have episodes to themselves in the new series. And are first plan. Cheers FlowerSniffer (talk) 02:16, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
In Response; As far as I know the wikipedia policy, red links indicate there are no pages created for that entry (that much you know), but also - they encourage people to go out of their way and create a page about whatever the topic is. Those were my intentions, not to 'make the page worse' as you put it. Another part of the wikipedia policy supports the view that if nothing is clearly wrong with the page/information (ie. grammatically correct, well written, fits in to the remainder of the page), it should stay the way the creator entered it. I hope you understand that I only did it as soon there will be content to put in those pages (as soon as tomorrow, or maybe next monday). Thanks FlowerSniffer (talk) 21:52, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image source problem with Image:Dan Scott.JPG
Thanks for uploading Image:Dan Scott.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 11:26, 16 February 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rossrs (talk) 11:26, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Brooke Davis.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. Hey man, I'm a fan of the show, and I've seen a lot of the stuff you've been doing for this seasons page. I commend you for doing an awesome job. If there's anything I can help with, let me know. I have all the episodes this season on my DVR box, so I can always go back for stuff. Lol. Just thought I'd throw that out there. But yeah, like I said, I thought you're doing an awesome job. Please keep up the good work. Lol. --JpGrB 16:32, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] One Tree Hill
Hi. I've added comments to the FLC, and also to say that this is the first time I noticed the DVD release page for the same show has been un-redirected. Even though there wasn't a discussion on the talk page, there were discussions in other places, such as at a FLC, and a couple of other places. The general consensus was that the information should be merged into the relevent season articles and the page redirected to the main series page. I'll find the links for you in a while, but basically, it's violating a bunch of WP:NOTs and WP:NOTE. -- Matthew | talk | Contribs 19:02, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Oth209.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:Oth209.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 14:23, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
