[edit] Expanded Notability
I have added substantially to the referances that verify Russel Walders notability, this also includes referance to his leading role in the NZ film, 'The Lunatics Ball', which won Chinas highest film award, The Golden Cup. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Oboeboy11 (talk • contribs) 23:44, 15 April 2007 (UTC).
I am responding to the editor who clearly does not know much about the oboe. First off, oboe-boy is a musician and editor who loves music and unlike the editor, knows a great deal about woodwind history. So first off, Mr Walder is redefining the possibilities of the oboe. Is saying it grandeur or the truth. If saying the truth on wikipedia is upsetting to this person, then I'll say it in a different way. But as it's true why is it the basis of deletion. Now if you look at wikis policy for inclusion. Mr Walder meets the entire list. What other oboe player has been nominated for a grammy, has toured the world sold millions of Cds, and is playing the instrument in a way that no one else is. There is a great deal of VERIFIABLE references and not a dump. Each reference tells another piece of the story that is in the notes. All exactly what Wiki asks for. This article should not be deleted because of someone's bias. If the editor had taken the time to read the references instead of guessing at some ploy of self promotion, he wouldn't have written what he did.
oboe-boy is Mr. Stetson. A knowledgeable critic and lover of great music. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Oboeboy11 (talk • contribs) 04:55, 5 May 2007
